Jeannie Vu
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to founding Azura, Jeannie was Chief Financial Officer at JRK Property Holdings, a $7 billion AUM vertically integrated operator of multifamily and hospitality assets. As CFO, Jeannie oversaw accounting, finance, business intelligence, purchasing, and asset management. Prior to JRK, Jeannie was most recently a Senior Vice President at Colony Capital, which was a $60 billion AUM real estate private equity firm at its peak. She held various roles in acquisitions, originations, and corporate finance and has acquired over $1 billion of assets spanning the capital stack and across all asset types, including 10,000 multifamily units. At Colony and JRK, Jeannie deployed various software and technology, including Anaplan, Tableau, Python, and SQL to streamline operations and decision making. Prior to Colony Capital, Jeannie was an investment banker at FBR Capital Markets and auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jeannie received a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Jeannie is a certified public accountant (inactive).
Jon Batmanghelich
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding Azura, Jon was Vice President of West Coast Acquisitions at Phoenix Realty Group, a $2.5 billion AUM owner, operator, and developer of multifamily. As VP, Jon focused primarily on sourcing, underwriting, capital raising, deal execution, and asset management. During his tenure, Jon was responsible for acquiring 2,811 units or over $600 million of multifamily assets in the US. Prior to PRG, Jon was most recently a Senior Associate at Healthpeak Properties, a Big 3 healthcare REIT with $25 billion AUM. His focus was the acquisition of all major healthcare real estate asset classes comprised of debt and equity investments. Jon began his career at Colony Capital, a global real-estate private equity firm with $60 billion AUM at its peak. At Colony, Jon focused on acquisition and asset management of over $1.2 billion of distressed debt collateralized by all asset types.
Jon has personally developed 66 multifamily units and 2,500 sf of retail in Los Angeles, CA.
Jon received a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
